Frequently Asked Questions

We currently are contracted with Medicare, BCBS, and UniCare. We highly recommend that you reach out to your insurance provider to find out what your benefits are. We have found that more and more people have deductibles that must be met prior to their PT benefits kicking in. We’ve also found that some people’s co-pays in-network are also the same for out-of-network and you can get reimbursed for that amount that would have been paid to the in-network provider.

We recommend that you contact your health insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network benefits.

We accept all major credit cards, checks, cash, debit cards, and cards associated with HSA or FSA accounts. We have experienced some FSA cards being declined because the insurance company requires some prior authorization that usually just requires a call from the employee.
We’ve come up against this challenge with several of our clients. Exercising should not be painful, although discomfort and fatigue can be common when conditioning your body and muscles. If you are experiencing sharp pain or severe cramping, burning, or numbness when exercising, something isn’t right. We will help problem solve these challenges to help you find the right exercises and programs for you.
Because we are contracted with Medicare, we have been able to submit claims to their insurance provider if we are not contracted with that entity (i.e. Tufts Managed Medicare Plans). However, usually you will need to contact your insurance provider to confirm authorization for PT treatment and find out your out-of-network co-pay cost. We recommend you also find out how many visits they will authorize, and they usually need our information. They may ask for the following information: Clinic Inspire Motion, LLC NPI #1255703021 Provider: Natasha Heitman, DPT NPI# 1932477619 Phone number: (978) 795-4066 Fax number: (978) 224-1034
Physical Therapists are experts in musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology. First and foremost we’ll discuss your history and current complaints to understand your pain. We also will focus on explaining to you why you are in pain, and how we can help reduce and rid you of the pain. Understanding your pain will help you to recover and heal.
Yes, we are trained in several types of fascial work with an emphasis on a technique called Biosynchronistics. You can read more on this method here.
Yes, we offer ultrasound treatments as a supportive mobility of our treatments. We have found ultrasound very beneficial for conditions such as tendonitis or calcifications. Read more about ultrasound here.
Yes, we are well experienced with treating many common back issues. We commonly see people suffering from spinal stenosis, disc herniations, SI joint dysfunction, sciatic pain, and many more.
We offer virtual appointments through FaceTime and Skype. These appointments can be utilized to establish a plan of care for new clients, discuss your plan of care, establish or discuss your current exercise program, guide you through your exercise program, and answer any questions you may have. Please be aware that these virtual appointments are currently only available to MA residents at this time. When you have booked your virtual follow-up appointment we will contact you about your preferred telehealth platform.
You do not need a doctor’s note to see a physical therapist in MA. However, your insurance company/policy may require a referral for reimbursement when you submit the provided super bill from us. If Medicare is your primary insurance, you will need a script from an MD. However, you can still come directly to a PT without a script for your initial evaluation. We do request your primary care provider’s information to submit our notes for their review. Your PT may also refer you to a specialist if you require further diagnostics, or to fully determine if you are appropriate for skilled PT.
We respond quickly to text messages sent to (978) 795-4066 or emails at questions@inspire-motion.com. Due to frequent spam phone calls, we screen calls and will only return callers that leave a message requesting a phone call back.
Please come with the appropriate intake paperwork completed. When you book your appointment online you will be able to complete the appropriate forms through our patient portal. We recommend you wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated. For clients who have Medicare as their primary insurance you will need your Medicare card and an ID.
Your first visit will be an evaluation and your allotted time will be 90 minutes to provide for gathering a thorough history, assessment, and time for treatment. Follow-up sessions will be up to 60 minutes depending on your schedule and time. We choose to allow for more time for our evaluations so that we are able to get a thorough history and understanding of your personal goals, as well as allow time for a thorough treatment.
The frequency of your visits will depend on your needs and goals. Some people will prefer to be seen once or twice per week. Some people can utilize our services as a consultation for evaluation and a few follow-up visits to establish an appropriate program. Utilizing services as a maintenance program can be beneficial for those with on-going complex conditions and may prefer monthly visits to stay on track with their own goals.
Yes, we will keep your medical team updated on your care as appropriate, by phone, email, or fax as needed and with your consent.

If you have an HMO BCBS plan you will need to get pre-authorization for PT treatment. This will require you to contact your primary care physician who will provide you with a diagnosis and then provide them with our practice’s information.
